It has been reported that a Goosebumps movie is in the works. I recall growing up seeing Goosebumps books on bookshelves and gripped hands everywhere. It even has an IMDB page. In fact, a casting What do YOU think on the matter?
rumour has even emerged. Apparently the film is to star known funny man Jack Black playing a writer that must face his own terrifying creations. That sounds like it has an almost Lovecraftian tinge to it. Jack Black proved he could pull off a more serious role in films such as King Kong so perhaps it's not too cautious to be optimistic for a good film.
