Recommended Reads

Well it's Wednesday which means it's time for recommended reads! This is, of course, a segment where I recommend a few cool things I've seen around the internet lately that are accompanied by a pretty but usually irrelevant image. This week it's a picture of some giraffes. Brilliant.

We're coming to the end of NaNoWriMo but I wanted to include a few more writing related reads for you today while it's all still relevant.

• Check out these adorable hand drawn cartoons that a wife made to welcome her husband home from the hospital, seriously cute stuff.
• Check out this seriously adorable story of an old woman and her best friend, her cat. It's actually really sweet. It's a story primarily told through photos of the pair demonstrating their close bond.
• 21 Stories That Will Restore Your Faith In The Internet. We are forever aware of the threats that strangers on the internet can pose but this post shares 21 wonderful stories about ways in which the internet has helped to bridge gaps and revolutionise lives. It wasn't long before I had a tear in my eye. I totally recommend reading it.

• They say you can't judge a book from the cover. Well here someone took several books and judged them by their cover and then said whether or not their assumptions were correct.
