As a writer I am sure there is no greater privilege than to see your writing adapted for the screen. George R.R Martin, author of the Song of Ice and Fire series, has been lucky enough to have a good level of involvement with the show based on his books but he could possibly have a cameo in season four of Game of Thrones.Martin reportedly had a cameo in one of the pilot episodes at the wedding of Danaerys Targaryen but of course that version never made it to our screens. Instead we hope to see George in the future so that he is, in some way, actually in Westeros. See his interview on the topic of cameos here.
