New Years Eve

On this day of the year most of the Western world are fretting over what party to go to, what to wear, who to kiss at midnight to usher in the luck of a new year.
Do you know what I was doing this time last year in the run up to midnight?
Sleeping.
On my sofa.
Curled up and snoozing my way through a movie (we were actually watching the film "New Years Eve" and I still don't know 99% of the events of the film) However I woke up to ring the new year in whilst feeling comfortable, warm and well rested.
Tonight I'll certainly be awake to bring the new year in.
