I know that this is a holiday people tend to have mixed feelings about, but I like it. There's something really pleasant in having a day just to celebrate love. It gives people that chance to pull up the courage to make a romantic gesture. It makes us pause and think about the people who make our lives better with their love and generosity. Today, whatever your relationship status, do something nice for someone. If you have a partner, do some small thing to remind them of why they're special. Call a parent or relative and thank them for all they've done for you. Why not celebrate Valentine's day with your best friend by reminding them why they're your best friend? Or just go about and do a few small, random acts of kindness just to remind people that the world is full of love and good people.
