Another Prince of Egypt song in our songs from the movies month?
Yes. It's my blog. If I want two songs from the same film then I can do that.
I was utterly obsessed with the music from this film as a little girl. It made me want to be a choral and orchestral conductor. It really set off my fascination with music. This entire piece set my imagination on fire and to make things even better it features the wonderful Ofra Haza in the role of Yocheved. Ofra Haza is a singer whom I adore. She died on my birthday. This song has always inspired me. This whole opening number.
