Huzzah!

We've passed another milestone. Within the last 24 hours this blog passed the 40,000 views mark. I'm still ever so impressed by this little blog and how it is still pulling in new viewers and readers from all over the world. I'm forever thankful for every one of you stopping by and taking a moment out of your day to read my words. 40,000 views is hard to even fathom and so, dear reader, since you're one of 40,000 you have my utter gratitude.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Over 20,000!

Wow, when I wasn't looking I got a little rush in blog views.
This now takes my blog views over 20,000.

(Technically we're now at  20005 when last I checked...)
I swear, I was actually busy doing some NaNoWriMo writing when it happened. I'm trying to be good!

I'd not done a thank you for a while so I just wanted to say once more that I'm so grateful for every single one of you stopping off so regularly at my blog. I write for myself but I write for you too. It's wonderful to have a voice but it's better to have that voice heard. Thank you so much for stopping by, reading and sharing. You make my day.

4,000.

So we sailed gracefully, yet at great speed, to and past 4,000 page views. In fact last night my humble little blog here had 254 page views and that hasn't stopped today. The blog has been very busy the past week, usually getting about 100 page views per day, but 254 is a new record... well, a new record for a day where I wasn't tweeted and retweeted by a celebrity. (For a brief explanation of the story behind that, click here.)

Many thanks to all you readers for stopping by - you're totally awesome. If you like what you see/read then please bookmark this blog, favourite it, come back any time. I update regularly so there probably will always be something for you.
I've been out gardening today and will soon be heading out to see my partner and friends to watch the wonderfully tacky spectacle that is the Eurovision song contest. Have a great weekend - Denmark and Netherlands ftw!

Look what happens when you blink...

I was waiting, counting away to the 1000 views mark.
When last I checked I had about 976 views... 5 minutes later I come back and we've just hit 1019!
I am full of uncontrollable joy that I never knew little numbers on a screen besides my bank balance could bring.

I noticed that Carice Van Houten, Melisandre herself, retweeted my tweet with a link to my blog review of her album and replied to me and I did the most ridiculous happy dance any of you have ever seen.
If Carice Van Houten brought you here then I'm sure you're awesome - please follow my blog, favourite it, bookmark it and come back. I write about nerd-things and I update regularly.

Thank you to all of you, especially Carice Van Houten, for making my day - I am so sorry for getting your lyrics slightly wrong but I must say that I've had your album on non stop and I adore it so much that I don't mind if you make love or lunch. I thank R'hllor for all you lovely people taking a few moments to stop by and check this ol' blog of mine. My day has totally been made.

Milestone: Huzzah!

It's not even reached noon and we've just hit 500 page views!

I find this all incredibly exciting and it's really been getting me through my dissertation.

Part of me wonders if it's just one person viewing the page every ten minutes because they just want to boost my ego. Well, even if that's so - I appreciate it.

Or maybe it was all the pictures of the cute kittens in the last post (in which case I totally understand)

However this isn't possibly true as my statistics tell me I've had hits from the UK, USA, Germany and Australia.

What else do I know of you?
I know that the majority of you use Google Chrome via a Windows Operating system whilst a hefty 29% of you visit via Internet Explorer. 14% of my views come from Linux users and people have also been reading my blog on smart phones and iPhones.
Having only really been blogging the past month and not spreading the page around as much or often as I could I find this a little overwhelming.

Anyways I have to get back to work.
Blog-ghosts, thank you for continuing to make me smile - I hope your day is awesome.
