Time for a Change?

Ahh, if only I were still a student...

As you may know one of my favourite things to do is change my hair colour. I'm a bit of a chameleon. My hair has been so many colours the past few years. Pink, blue, green, black and blonde....

I currently have blonde hair and am keeping it this way for boring, practical reasons. Obviously if I'm hoping to get a job there are many old fashioned people out there who think that the colour of your hair makes you somehow less worthy of a role within their work force.

I have, however, wanted to dye my hair blue like this for months now... This is a major display of self restraint on my part.

Song of the Day: River by Joni Mitchell

I'm in bed with a cold so I feel very ill and rather sorry for myself. In the end I ended up listening to Joni Mitchell last night. It seemed like a good musical choice. Not in a "Love, Actually" weeping to myself way, I focused on some of her more cheery numbers. That said, this is a Joni song I'm yet to feature on the blog. If you know what the song is about then it's actually kind of heart breaking. It's about Joni Mitchell missing the child she gave up for adoption when she was young around Christmas and feeling a sense of regret for missing out on raising her. I totally suggest looking it up as it had a kind of happy ending and the two eventually met and got to speak to each other.

I do love a little bit of the wonderful Joni Mitchell and since today I am feeling Blue, much akin with the album title, this song seemed most fitting.
