Song of the Day: Touch The Sky from Brave

Continuing in our "Songs from Movies" season I thought I'd wander over for some Disney goodness.
This is from Brave, a film which I saw from the cinema seats and from the projection room.

Enjoy,

Recommended Reads

So, once again, it's time for recommended reads.
if you don't know what that is then clearly you're new here, but welcome anyway. Here we essentially share a few things we've spotted around the internet lately and share them with YOU, the reader, in the hopes you'll enjoy them too.
Hey - it beats playing Candy Crush for hours on end...
Here are our picks for the week:

Recommended Reads!

Another Wednesday. Wednesday means many things but most importantly it means it's time for recommended reads, a segment that has been read the world over. What is recommended reads? It's simply a brief segment where I suggest a few things I've seen and enjoyed around the interwebz lately so you have something to do other than refreshing Facebook every 4 minutes.
Enjoy!

Scotland passes marriage equality bill!

I'm proud of my home country today as Scotland have officially passed the bill for equal marriage. Marriage there is apparently set to start in the autumn of this year.
In celebration, good old George Takei posted this great quote that I thought was worth sharing.
We're not re-defining marriage. We just want equal rights and representation.

Another Turn of the Globe!

Sorry I've not posted as much lately, guys!

I've been trying to keep to my daily writing deadlines for my poetry and novel, create some new work for a short story competition and spend time with my family however I checked my stats for this week and there are more of you lovely people from all over the world reading - welcome to the new readers from Finland, the Netherlands and Romania.

I'm currently trying to get through a new book so I can post a review, this one doesn't have as much mainstream attention as 'Looking for Alaska' in my last review. It's a book from a talented and rather underrated author from Canada who I met a few months back when he was touring with said book. I look forward to writing the review and I hope you look forward to reading it (the review and the book itself hopefully)
